Why do I have to live this way?
This is a question we
have all asked… more than once! We all have problems of one sort or another.
Shocking as it is the problems I have do not seem like a problem to someone
else. We are all different and our load is different. Things I want to show you
today is that what we feel is a problem life because of the road we have had to
walk is just where the Lord Jesus wants us if we are trusting Him! God has told
us that we plant seeds that we may are may not see grow… we have to live
through things that we may not like to be where we are needed to plant these
seeds. We ask God to use us … then just like the Israelites we grumble and
complain because we are put in a place where we can do what God has called us
to do!
I am just as guilty
of this. Truthfully God is revealing this to me just as He is to you in this
teaching. I have been praying for understanding as to why I have had to live
through some of the horrible things I have had to live through. God is not slow
to answer! I have asked God to use me for His Glory… I told Him I would do
anything He asks. Oh so easy to say! Then when my feet hit the heat I cry out
to God for relief. This is a big world with a lot of people that need help, we
help each other everyday and sometimes that help is so minute to us that we
don’t even realize we have done something wonderful for the Lord. Yet didn’t
God say that our very lives would be the witness for Him? Our actions rather
than our words sometimes are the greatest witness. God told us that a simple
thing like feeding a hungry person was a big thing to Him and He would reward
us.
He also said that He
would only reward us if we gave with out begrudging it… so think about what you
are losing when you complain all the time about everything you did that was not
comfortable for you? Our giving has to be freely given… God does not like
complaining and begrudging givers and will not release His blessings under that
kind of giving. The enemy is so cunning… he deceives us by whispering how
mistreated we are to be put in this place to have to do this for this one or
that one… we think… “Yeah why do I have to always be the one to do this or
that?” Right away the enemy is stealing your reward! He is getting you to
grumble and grudge your giving… by doing this he is also keeping you from
realizing your are doing what God has called you to do. When we walk in “faith”
we must believe God is in control of our circumstances. No matter how bad things look at times… if
you believe God (this is the key!) … Believing God and doing your best to
follow Jesus in love… then you (we) must stop feeling we are lost out here and
all these awful things are happening to us and some how God is not aware of it!
God is aware of everything! God knows whom you are and what you are living! He
has the very hairs of your head numbered!
If you have signed up to serve God then you must go into the battlefield
of life and do the will of God. Sometimes this is not fun… just ask those vets
returning from the war…
The word of God says we will have trials
and tribulations in this life… but be of good cheer because Jesus made us
victorious if we will only believe and keep our faith! Look at what the first
disciples went through getting help to the ones that needed it. Are we any
different? The people in our circle that seem to be our biggest problems may be
the very ones God has sent us to help. Where would these people be if we were
not there to be kind to them and/or help them through a bad time? Feed them,
clothe them or defend them. Or maybe just be kind to them when they are hurting
and down. Other peoples problems seem to have become something we all try to
avoid, yet God said for us to help each other through the problems, have pity
on the hurting, lend our ear to those who need to talk… be ready to share the
love of Jesus and His great forgiveness and grace. Be understanding and
sympathetic to their pain if nothing else. But the enemy comes in right away
and whispers “They want something from you, they want to take something, don’t
trust them!”… Right away this sounds so true… but is it? No one can make you
give anything… you only give what you feel God wants you to give… pray … seek
God for help as to what you should truly give or not give to those who come to
your circle of life. And if you don’t want to give something by all means
DON’T… God will not receive your giving if it is done grudgingly! But on the
other hand… if you seek God and feel He is asking you to help this person… then
do it and do not let the enemy steal your blessing by his lying accusations of
how this person took advantage of you… even if the person did lie to you! God
is not finished with them yet… the seed you planted will not be void … let it
grow by freely giving whatever you felt God ask you to give. Praise God for
allowing you to be the one to help that poor hurting person and ask God to
minister to them… then you will receive your reward for doing what God has
called you to do. It is not our business what someone does with what we give
them… that is God’s business. A gift is just that… once it is given it no
longer belongs to you… you have no more say in how this gift is used. How would
you like for someone to give you a car and then tell you where you could drive
it, how you should drive it and when? Would you feel you had truly been given
anything? Let the gift go…
God said for us to
believe in what we cannot see… this is “faith”! So trust God and be content in
the life He has given you to live. If you are not happy seek God for comfort
and understanding. He will give it to you. But first realize that life is not
always easy and the place you are living in the body you are living in (be it
less than perfect) is the body God gave you. There is a reason… someone had to
be in that body in that place in this life… why not you? We need to be thankful
to God for the chance to serve Him in our life wherever He has put us. We are
needed there! Hold your head up high and walk the walk for Jesus… stop letting
the enemy steal your joy and your blessings… stop complaining and begrudging
everything in your life… give it to God, open those windows of heaven and let
God bless you! When you find the thief you can stop him… God is not slack to
answer, to bless, to meet your needs… If someone left a gift for you on your
doorstep and rang the bell… but you didn’t come out and get the gift… someone
will steal it. You must open the door and take the blessings by obeying the
Lord… do not complain about everything in your life… look to the good and think
on those things…when you help someone or give something to someone thank God
for letting you serve Him instead of complaining, praise God for everything you
can think of that you like in your life you will be surprised at how it will
change your world! To God be the Glory!
