God’s Mystery!
This has been a very
busy summer for me… I have had a lot of company and made several trips. God is
always teaching and I try to always listen. Through all this company several
kept saying the same thing… word for word… “This didn’t “JUST” happen!” There
is a reason for everything. Sometimes these things that “DON’T JUST HAPPEN”
seem so far from what we feel should happen or what we want to happen. Well we
all know the scripture that says “All things work together for good”…
Rom
8:28 (KJV) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love
God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.
I don’t think most people
look deep enough into this verse. It fits into so many other verses that show
just how much God works for our good in all things when we “TRUST” Him. Which
leads me to the next statement… People keep looking for a pattern, or a set way
of doing things to receive from God. Yet repeatedly God shows us that He is God
and will do what is needed at any given time. Some things will remain a mystery
until God chooses to reveal it.
Below scripture is from
KJV:
1Cr 2:7
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, [even] the hidden [wisdom], which
God ordained before the world unto our glory:
Eph 1:9
Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good
pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
Eph 3:9
And to make all [men] see what [is] the fellowship of the mystery, which from
the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by
Jesus Christ:
Col 1:26
[Even] the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is
made manifest to his saints:
Col 2:2
That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all
riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the
mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
1Ti 3:16
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in
the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles,
believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Rev 10:7
But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to
sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his
servants the prophets.
These
are just a few scriptures about the mysteries of God. When you study the
scriptures you will see that God has no pattern… one time He sends his
disciples out with nothing and the next time he sent them out and told them to
take their purse, scrip and sword…
Mar 6:8 (KJV) And
commanded them that they should take nothing for [their] journey, save a staff
only; no scrip, no bread, no money in [their] purse:
Luke
22:36 (KJV) Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse,
let him take [it], and likewise [his] scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him
sell his garment, and buy one.
Now
some try to say this is biblical contradiction… because they have not studied
the scriptures! If you study the scriptures you will see so clearly that God
keeps what He is doing a mystery… He reveals what He wants to reveal when He
wants to reveal it! He is God after all and who can tell God what He can or
can’t do?
We
must follow God in faith … faith means trust… sometimes things don’t make sense
to us, but God is in control. Over and over God says to us to trust Him, to
obey Him, to keep our faith even when things don’t look too good!
Hebrews 11:1
(KJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of
things not seen.
God
works in the unseen areas of our lives! God is doing in the background what we cannot
do… sometimes we must walk through things that seem bad, stressful, and
hurtful… but if you will keep trusting God knowing He will turn it around for
your good… you will have an outcome of victory every time! When you read the
Word of God you will find that God does things differently all the time.
Picking blue walls for your bedroom in one house because that is what you want
for that house … then picking yellow for the bedroom in your next house because
that is what you want for this house does not make the blue in the other house
wrong! Just different! God does things differently for a reason… one thing
works this time but it will take another thing the next. Life is interesting
and fun when you follow Jesus and let God be God. Trust is the key … believe
God … If you are seeking to please God and truly want to serve Him and are
trying to follow His lead then let Him lead … you follow! Pray and believe.
I must add here that
this is not saying if it feels good do it! I am talking to people who are doing
their best to seek God’s will in their lives and things seem to not be going
their way… this is when so many fall… they seem to think everything has to go
their way or God isn’t at work. Think about your prayers… do you not say “God
most of all I want YOUR will in my life”… well… then let God’s will win… keep
trusting Him… even when things do not look good stand on your faith and say “I
am not moved by what is happening here… I know God is at work and will bring me
to victory!” Do spiritual warfare… bind the hand of satan in the name of Jesus!
Keep your faith in God and do not let go of it… say each day “I know God will
turn this around for my good because I trust Him and I am His!”
Isa 54:17 (KJV) No
weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue [that] shall
rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This [is] the heritage of the
servants of the LORD, and their righteousness [is] of me, saith the LORD.
Rom 8:31 (KJV) What shall we then
say to these things? If God [be] for us, who [can be] against us?
God
is on our side! He is for us not against us! How can you trust God if you feel
He is out to get you!? God loves us… so much He gave His Son for ransom for our
sins… Trusts Him! You will be a winner in the long haul and that is what
counts… the end! WE WIN IN THE END! God told us there would be trials and
tribulations on the way… but we would overcome them all if we just trust HIM…
Quit trying to put God in a box with your rules… God can and will do whatever
is needed to bring you to the place you need to be. So follow Jesus and Trust
God… win! Walk in God’s best through faith… only believe!
