How to live and have a relationship with God too... the enemy uses guilt to stop people from going to God the very one they should go to when they feel they have messed up...Jesus paid an awesome price to cover our guilt... it is done... we need to continue to walk in it... accept it every time we mess up... His blood covered it! Go to Him and repent... and receive forgiveness... it is so wonderful! So real so true... Mercy & Grace is there for us!

I find in talking with different people that so many are shocked when I tell them about the way I talk to God. I start telling them of the conversation I had and what God said and they look at me in such surprise and say, “You talk to God like that?” After visiting with them a little while I find they feel prayer is something you do for someone else that is in need or for themselves when they are in desperate need. Other wise they say the Lord’s Prayer and that is their time with God it is very impersonal.

As long as the enemy can make us feel God is not interested and constantly judging us badly we will not fellowship with God. God desires us to fellowship with Him all the time. God wants to talk with us. God is interested in us and what we are doing He wants to help us in all ways! James went so far as to say “We have not because we ask not” (James 4:2 KJV). God is… well GOD… He is very deep and hard to understand at times. I learned a lot about God raising my children. God would show me things… awesome things, as I would do what I believed to be right with my kids.

One of the cutest things my kids would do if they wanted something and I would tell them no… they would as why… I would say I don’t have the money. Their answer to that was “Mom, just write a check!” Now I could have “Just written a check,” but the money I had was not for what they wanted. There were lots of reasons they couldn’t have what they wanted but I could not explain them to the kids, they wouldn’t have understood. God told me that many times I do not get what I want because of reasons I don’t understand and if he tried to explain it I wouldn’t understand. We are God’s children… we want many things for many reasons and we sometimes feel like it is so easy for God to “Just write a miracle”… but there are reasons we don’t understand.

Then there were the times when the kids wanted to do something really badly but what they wanted to do was very dangerous and I know they could and most likely would get hurt if I let them do it. I would tell them “No”… they would get upset with me cause they could not see a reason why they couldn’t do this thing. If I would explain it to them they would not agree with me … they felt “they” could do this and not get hurt! What kind of parent would we be if we gave in and let them do something we knew would hurt them… so we could say, “I told you that would happen” after they got hurt? God will not do that either! He will tell us “No” but if we do it anyway… we get hurt. What I am trying to explain here is how to be God’s kid… talk to Him… all the time… like you would an earthly parent. This is what pleases God. This is prayer that gets results, brings you closer to God every day.

So the next time you “Go to your prayer closet” try talking with God about your life. Just talk to Him. Then listen to Him. Reading the bible gives us understanding of what God wants. If you study the bible you will see how often God tries to fellowship with us, how God tries to teach us to forgive and receive forgiveness. The Old Testament teaches us how we fail at being right over and over. The New Testament teaches us how we need Jesus to cover us so we can fellowship with God guilt free. Yes we still fail, but now we have an advocate with God, Jesus Christ and a helper The Holy Spirit… all our needs are met… we just have to walk in it. When you love God you want to do things His way. Get personal with your heavenly Father and see how wonderful it is! Stop looking at God as someone you couldn’t reach… someone who is out to teach you a lesson… someone that is mad at you. These things are all lies… God wants to hear from us… He asked us to pray (talk) to Him continuously (1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV)! If you have a need take it to God through Jesus with the Holy Spirits help… it is that easy. Leave the need with Jesus and let Him deal with it. He will. But you are still welcome to go and talk to God about it whenever you need to. Ask for assurance ask what you want … what you need… ask God to teach you… He will. His way… not yours be open minded when you talk to God let His will be done… would you want anything less? I don’t!
