You are never alone!
Hebrews 11:1 (KJV): Now
faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
There are times in all our lives when we feel
so alone. Times when the hurts in our lives seem to overwhelm us, these are the
times when we feel the most alone. These are the times when no one on earth can
truly understand what we are feeling and why, no matter how badly they would
like to. There are times when no one can help us, not any one but God!
Sometimes during these awful lonely times God seems silent too. In the verses
below from 1 Kings you must read the story to get the fullness of this
statement, but what I am trying to show you here is that when we feel like
others have let us down and everything important to us has hurt us or left us…
we are not alone… God is there waiting for the right moment to speak to you in
His still small voice.
1 Kings 19:12-14 (KJV): And after the earthquake a fire; [but] the
LORD [was] not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. And it was
[so], when Elijah heard [it], that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went
out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, [there came] a
voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah? And he said, I have
been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: because the children of Israel
have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets
with the sword; and I, [even] I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take
it away.
God is always there, always aware of our needs
and our pain. Nothing is left out of God’s watchful eye, He knows who you are,
what you are and why things are happening like they are. Life is not simple, it
is very complex and there are many facets all around us that we don’t have a
clue about. We can’t see them or know they are there because of the many other
people around us. We must co-exist on this earth with everyone around us good
or bad. This wonderful gift I keep talking about “CHOICE” is so very deep, so
very wonderful but so very hurtful when the choice is used for bad. This is the
key most people forget about, the fact that bad choices affect us all … but it
must be. God’s promises are true, God cannot lie, He gave us this wonderful
gift of “choice” and He will honor it. How can God be true if He gave us choice
and then said “BUT”… He told us that innocent ones would be hurt by the bad
choices of others. This is as I said so very complex there is no way we can
possibly understand it all. So this is where “Faith” comes in, have faith that
God will “work all things out for your good “IF” you trust in Him”. That is a
big “IF” and we must realize it.
Romans 4:24 (KJV): But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed,
if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
Romans 8:28 (KJV): And we know that all things work together for
good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his]
purpose.
God expects us to trust Him through the trial of
this life and He told us there would be persecutions and tribulations. Jesus is
our answer to all our problems, we are to seek Him in our times of need and He
will answer.
1 Peter 1:7 (KJV): That the trial of your faith, being much more
precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found
unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
1 Peter 4:12-13 (KJV): Beloved, think it not strange concerning
the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto
you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that,
when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy
2 Thessalonians 1:4 (KJV): So that we ourselves glory in you in
the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and
tribulations that ye endure:
So to sum this up when you feel alone that is
the time you need to listen for God’s still small voice, He will guide you,
help you, and send ministering angels to watch over you. Just trust Him and He
will do it, He will move as your faith allows Him to. He has told us over and
over to “BELIEVE”, when we have done everything we can thing of to do then we
must “STAND” on our belief of His promise to us. He will do what He said. If
you are suffering and feeling sad and alone … remember you are not alone, there
are many feeling the same way, this is normal! Life is hard, but with Jesus all
things work for your good if you are called according to His purpose. Being
called according to His purpose means we follow Him and trust Him with our
lives knowing He will be there and see us through all things. So smile … you
are in good hands! The hands of God! TRUST HIM! Rest in Him, cast all your
cares on Him and watch Him fill your heart with joy this world can’t know. It
is the joy of knowing all is well with God and His own. Do not be moved by what
you see… ONLY BELIEVE!
