Responsibilities of church leaders:

Many church leaders feel they must rely on tithing to have the income needed to do the work they feel God called them to do. This just is not true. God would not ask any of us to do anything with out making a way for it to be done.

·       We can trust God to meet our needs His way, by faith.

·       We do not need to improvise a way ourselves, because we fear we can't make it on faith alone.

·       God is full of grace and mercy, He understands our fears, but requires we trust Him nonetheless.

I have talked with many leaders about this issue. They mostly turn me off because they have accepted this way of collecting funds and are not willing to change. It is easier to try to make a congregation pay 10% than to trust God to bring in the needed funds by faith. Some have told me they agree with me, but they do not feel people will give unless they teach tithing, they tell me. This is a problem when one looks to people to give instead of God. Look to God to provide for you His way and you will receive what you need and more. Leader in the Lord, I ask you to think this through, you can not teach that we are no longer under the law, but grace through Jesus and then say, but I have decided to keep the law of tithing anyway. God said do not put my people under bondage again, Jesus died once and for all, to set us free. Law is law (tithing is law) and Grace is Grace (free will giving is grace)! I have communicated with God on this issue for 26+ years, the first 10 I tried to prove tithing is for the New testament church because all the churches I was involved in were teaching it and I felt I must be hearing it wrong. However each time I did a study on this, I found what I was hearing was from the Holy Spirit and was surely true, tithing is not for the New Testament church. I will happily show anyone interested in this what I have found and why. When you do it Gods way you will be blessed beyond your wildest dreams! God will lead people to give into your ministry by grace and love, not law.
