WHY?

This month I am giving you the question someone asked me and giving you the answer I sent them. My hope as always is to help Christians to live a victorious life in Christ!

Q: What are we doing wrong to warrant attacks constantly financially and in health?  Why do people who try to be good Christians suffer the most and don't live the great happy life??  But we are always trying to rebuke Satan by calling on the LORD for peace and comfort and health.

A: Thank you for writing. I talk to God just like I would talk to a friend, I feel He is right here listening and will help me just as a father listens to his small children even when they don’t make any sense. God is this personal and loves us this much. Prayer simply means talking to God, either to thank Him, ask Him for healing, help, blessing or just visit about our daily goings on. When you pray like that you will truly be able to express yourself to Him. This is what God wants… He wants to just hear from us. God loves to be told we love Him and we want Him in our daily life. God loves to hear us brag on Jesus and what He did for us. He loves to hear about how the Holy Spirit has helped us. The thing God has taught me through the years is that He enjoys our company in prayer (talking to Him). I pray throughout the day by just sharing my life with Him and admiring all the beautiful things He has created here. Even when you walk down a sidewalk you will see a beautiful flower coming up through a crack. To me that is a part of God’s gift to me… showing me His beauty, His Glory in everything no matter how bad a day I am having.

You are not doing anything wrong to warrant attacks, the enemy seeks to steal, kill and destroy and he is always working to deceive us. Some of our problems are due to just life and other people who refuse to look to Jesus, some of our problems are due to wrong choices that end up to our harm, other problems simply mistakes made by ourselves or others. We live in a world where the enemy also lives at this time so we will be in battles until Jesus returns for the final victory to defeat the enemy totally. Jesus gave us power through His name and we need to use that power constantly.

As I have said in many of my teachings God gave us free will and with that came an awesome price for God and for us, but it is well worth this price for us because we can now receive eternal life through  the very Blood Jesus shed for us to have the right to make these choices. So bad things happen through bad choices and God told us this was so. He told us that innocent people would be hurt by the wicked but in the end God would heal us and bless us even if we are the victim of evil people. This is a very deep teaching and I am trying to give you the highlights of it here.

The main thing I am trying to help you see is that you must check your life and see which attack is getting you. One of the enemy’s deceptions is to get God’s people to doubt God and to get them to believe God is to blame for the problems they are having. Once the enemy gets a person on that path it leads to much pain. The first rule in trusting God is to KNOW God is for us not against us and God is not causing our problems. No matter how the enemy tries to make you agree with him that God is at fault we as God’s people must trust God and rebuke the enemy and remind him in Jesus Name that God is not the problem … the problem is either people not doing what is right in the site of God which hurts us all, or our bad choice or mistake.  Also a huge problem Christians have is harboring unforgiveness.  We must forgive others… this is not a “should” thing… this is a “MUST” thing if we want a victorious life in Christ.

Unforgiveness opens so many doors to the enemy. Shut these doors by willingly forgiving everyone that has hurt you daily, just as Jesus forgives us daily. Any time the enemy brings up something or someone that hurt you … you need to immediately say I forgive this person in obedience to God in the name of Jesus. Not because I feel like it but because God told me to forgive. When you do this the enemy will stop bringing these things up! Ask God to show you if there is someone you have not forgiven and then forgive them! I even pray “God I forgive everyone who has ever hurt me known or unknown!” just to make sure I have it all covered because I realize how very important forgiveness is.

I pray I have helped others find answers to their everyday problems. Please visit this website often, bookmark it and share it with your family and friends. To God be all Glory and Honor… Jesus is Lord of Lord’s and King of King’s… the Holy Spirit is our helper! How Great is our GOD!
